Tally up how much weight you lose per week when you first start. Keeping a food journal not only helps to keep track of all of our meals and snacks, it also encourages us to make good food choices.


If you are hungry, it is easy to make a bad decision. This is because you just want to get food into your body quickly – you don’t care whether what you are consuming is healthy. To avoid those unnecessary calories, keep a snack reserve if you get hungry and don’t skip your regular meals. In order to ensure that you do not have to get take-out, pack a meal with you. Making this change will reduce the calories you take in and also your food costs.


The best way to lose weight is by incorporating a healthy diet along with regular exercise. It is not necessary to exercise 7 days a week, but you should do so at least 3 or 4. Make exercise fun if you are bored with it. Join a dance club or class, for example, if you already enjoy dancing.


Take all junk food out of your house. Keep healthy foods around, such as fruits and vegetables, and you will be more likely to reach for them instead of the unhealthy foods. Get rid of all the unhealthy foods right now, so you can’t possibly reach for them.


It will be up to you to lose the weight, but it will be much easier if you have a good support system or someone to go through your weight-loss journey with you. Your support network can help you push forward when you feel like quitting. Look to others when you need some help.
